India World’s Top Arms Importer SIPRI
According to the report, India, the largest arms recipient, accounted for 10 percent of global arms imports between 2007 and 2011. Among the most significant contracts signed by India is the purchase of 120 Russian Su-30MK multirole combat aircraft, 29 Mig-29Ks and 20 British Jaguar fighters.

Russia Completes Final Trials of Indian Frigate
The Yantar shipyard in Russia's Baltic exclave of Kaliningrad has completed the final tests of a missile frigate for the Indian navy, the company’s spokesman Sergei Mikhailov said o Tuesday.

Expert advises China to change Aircraft Engines Development Road

Admiral Yin Zhuo of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), member of the Expert Advisory Committee for Military Informationization of the PLA and member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), proposed for an increase in the national investment in military industry enterprises including the aviation industry. He said, “We have formed an "all-follow-the-models" way of thinking for a long time, and this approach has delayed a lot of valuable researches and manufactures. The military industry serves as an important support to China's high-end manufacturing industry and some basic scientific experiments and researches cannot just follow the models.
