June 19 representatives of Belarusian army (USrb) signed the act of accepting military aid from the Chinese People's Army, agreed in advance with the Ministry of Defence of Belarus. The new cars will be first shown publicly in Belarus on July 3, during a military parade on the occasion of Independence Day. EQ2058 is a car created based on the American model of commercial HMMWV - Hummer H1, produced by the Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFM). The vehicle was created in close collaboration with the original manufacturer - AM General, initially imported from the United States based on the chassis, then built from scratch in China. 

Work on a Chinese copy of the HMMWV began in mid-2002, a courtesy car Dongfeng MengShi (Warrior) EQ2050 presented for the first time in 2003, his armored variant EQ2058 few years later. From 2004 to 2006 were delivered to the Chinese army first 57 vehicles. EQ2050 successfully passed all the tests, which concluded in December 2006, after driving together in a variety of conditions - from glaciers to the deserts - over 1.03 million kilometers.
