Chinese MP5 style 9mm submachine gun

photos of the new Chinese made submachine gun I had heard about.

It looks a lot like what I would expect the child of a Sig 550 rifle and an H&K MP5submachine gun would look like. I actually think it looks pretty good. Not much is known about this gun. It chambers 9mm less-lethal rubber bullet rounds (effective range of 10-80 meters) and 9mm Parabellum. The intended users are law enforcement.

Norinco NR08: Chinese MP5 Clone

China is now producing clones of the H&K MP5A4 submachine gun. I cannot even recollect reading that China had purchased a license from H&K and I presume these are unlicensed clone. These guns are being exported to the Philippines and being sold for the equivalent of about $2,500.

ChinaType 054A Jiangkai II-class guided-missile frigates (FFGs), the most advanced ships of their type in the PLAN inventory. These FFGs are now entering service. GlobalSecurity.org projects that 12 Jiangkais will be in service by this year, 22 by 2015. The surface fleet clearly is not stagnating despite the halt in production of top-end combatants.

The ships will relieve the Wuhan and Yulin from the Chinese Navy's ninth flotilla, which has patrolled the area since July. The new warships will join the Qinghaihu, a supply ship in the region.

They will be upgrading their Austeyr F88 (Australia's Steyr AUG variant) to make is more modular, ambidextrous, lighter and easier to accessorize. PLA Type 99 Series MBT

The Type 99, also known as ZTZ-99 and WZ-123, developed from the Type 98G (in turn, a development of the Type 98), is a third generation main battle tank (MBT) fielded by the Chinese People's Liberation Army. It is made to compete with other modern tanks.

Although not expected to be acquired in large numbers due to its high cost compared to the more economical Type 96, it is currently the most advanced MBT fielded by China. The ZTZ99 MBT is a successor to the Type 98G tank manufactured for the People's Liberation Army (PLA).
